Book Week- authors visit

The junior school had a visit this morning from the author Paula Green. They had a wonderful morning hearing poems of Paula's and some from children their own age. They then made poems as a whole group with the help of Paula. Here is one of the poems they made...

The Native Animals of New Zealand

The owl hunts at night
The owl always hoots at night
The frog is hoppy and slobbery
The frog has a really long tongue
The lizard changes colour
The pukeko hides in long grasses
The moth likes light
